It doesn't appear that much has happened over at Lot 26 in the past two weeks, but there's a little bit of work to share you. It's been a very unusually rainy summer in Alabama and wet, soggy ground doesn't make ideal conditions for laying a foundation (sigh). Rain, rain go away! We've had enough!...

This was on July 17th. I was able to drive past the lot after my flight was cancelled. The sun is setting so I apologize for the poor quality here. You can see the concrete blocks look ready to be put in place for the foundation.

July 24th. Concrete blocks have moved around, but not as much as I hoped they would in a weeks time.
This is a panoramic shot of our lot on the same day.

July 28th. A few more pieces of wood and rebar in place, but again, not much concrete block movement. The weather is supposed to be a bit more cooperative this week (just typical coastal pop-up showers in the afternoon). Monsoon season can be over now, we have a house to build!
