I was thrilled to see all this activity at my house yesterday morning. There were 2 sets of subcontractors at work at the same time (hallelujah!)!! The bricklayers started on Monday and the trim carpenters came to work on Wednesday. They are installing the interior doors, crown molding, baseboards and closet shelves....and let's just say, I have a lot of closet space - 12 to be exact.
This is the smallest one, in our master bathroom. Cute? Inefficient? Just right? Only time will tell :).
I had to walk through the house with one of carpenters and choose how many shelves to put in each one. Since he's done this a bunch, I just went with the standard for most of the closets.
That giant pile of boards will make it way to our walls and windows in the next day or so.
Nice window trim, right? You can see the brick too, but here's some better pictures....
This is Boral brick in Shadowstone Queen with Magnolia Mason's Mix mortar.
I'm very happy with this choice...which is a big sigh of relief since I had to choose a brick pattern from a 12 x 12 inch sample and seeing it on 2 other houses in the area. Yay!
I'm in Chicago for the next few days and can't wait to see what things will look like when I get back. Our friends, Jill and Justin, are getting married on Saturday. Thrilled to celebrate with them and see friends and family while I'm home.
