It was just too good to be true....a voicemail from our contractor
on Monday to say they'd be pouring our slab on Wednesday.
If you've seen the Geico commercial or saw my Facebook post, you know I
was happy as "a camel on Wednesday" to get this news.
I excitedly drove toward the lot and as I came around the corner and the
foundation came into view, guess what wasn't there???
Poof! went my little bubble of happiness :(
I'll have to check back again in another day or so to see if they've
gotten any further than this -- cuz it pretty much looked the same on Sunday.
We were told they'd start framing the day after the slab is poured so we're
inching toward a more exciting portion of the build.
I use the verb "inching" because seriously, that's what it feels like right now.
Take a deep breath, say a prayer for patience and go pour a glass of wine...
(repeat as necessary)
