Bushwackers

Midwestern fall weekend activites may include trips
to the pumpkin patch, apple orchard or taking a drive for a color tour.
Gulf Coast Alabama weekend activities = sun, boats and Bushwackers!
(especially when the family football team is having a rough season)
It was a gorgeous day and we were fortunate
to be invited out for an afternoon of cruising!

For those unfamiliar with the Bushwacker - it is a local favorite frozen cocktail
with Kahlua, Rum, Cream de Cacao and milk...topped with a shot of 151 proof rum.
It tastes like ice cream with a kick! Yummy and potentially dangerous :)

I'd love to tell you that the boat behind Bill was our vehicle for the day,
but sadly no. There are a lot of very nice boats in these parts!

We took this picture on the beach at Pirate's Cove in Josephine, Al.
It was perfect weather and a great afternoon! While I miss the fall colors and traditions
from home, trading it for days at the beach...this girl can't complain!
