The finish line is in site!

I know it's just way to good to be true, but they're telling us our house will be done

and ready for closing this Friday. Don't get your hopes up too high though... there's still

a lot of work of do and still no front door! #dontevengetmestarted

The various teams have been doing their part to get our home ready for occupation, so 

here are updates to share: 

                             We've got landscaping! 

               Stairs are complete, but as you can see the rail

 is a bit on the short side. Waiting for the appropriate length one to arrive.

                Carpet in the bedrooms and bonus room

 

         Wood floors in the living, family room and office 

                    (so dusty, but soon to be clean!)

                My lovely subway tile backsplash in the kitchen (ahh). Loving the way it all

                comes together now :) That pipe sticking out on the left is where the "pot filler" will be. 

I am so happy all the finishing touches are finally in place. As I already said the front door is still amiss and the master bathroom bathtub is still looking like a hot mess so it will be a miracle if it
all get accomplished by Friday. Bill and I have a walk through with the contractor mid-week to make a "punch list"... which will be lengthy given the number of small dings and such we've noticed over the past few weeks. Some of this stuff will have to be fixed before we move in, others will have to wait until after closing. Fingers crossed for a good week!
