Time to catch up a bit!

Whoa, bad blogger... I haven't posted in over 2 months!
I guess haven't really had too many exciting things to share.
The end of the winter was quiet and slow, but now spring is here and in full swing
and there are exciting things happening for the Harts!!!!

I am very happy to say we are moving forward with building a house!
We've had our eye on the same subdivision since last year when we first decided to
move to Alabama. We spent a lot of time looking at new homes and
several subdivisions, but this one stuck with us.
Here are many pictures of the dirt and trees that will be our new home in the fall.

Looking at the lot straight on from the road. We're building on #26.
Looking down the road to the left. The front of the property is on a small curve.
 Bill traipsing through the yard
The lot is about 1 acre in size. It's heavily wooded and much
of this will be cleared out to make way for the house.
A house under construction across the street - I hope we have nice neighbors!
Bill took this picture from the edge of the lot. I'm that small dot
standing on the other end of the lot. Can't believe how small I look!
Happy to have picked a lot

In the backyard again - and some more neighbors across the road

There's a few meetings with the builders in the upcoming weeks to pick out
all the interior details and make sure the house gets built how we want it.
I feel a bit daunted by all the decisions ahead, but thank goodness for
Pinterest and Houzz for inspiring me over the past few months!

I hope I can use this space to share the house building fun with our friends and
family (and perhaps inspire some of you to visit when its done!).
May 15th is the scheduled date to break ground, so let the countdown begin!
