The Cold Keg

While on a road trip to Auburn this weekend, we had to make a stop for fuel. This was no ordinary gas station we stopped at though...this one was home to "The Cold Keg"

Inside of this unassuming gas station is this long wall of beers on tap which is served to you in the plastic beverage container of your choice: gallon, half gallon or pint - just like the kind you get milk in. Keepin' it real classy, it's then placed in a paper or plastic bag with a few red Solo cups for your consumption pleasure.

True to its description this beer was probably the coldest I have ever tasted. I got a nice little pint of Hoegaarden. I hope to return and try a few others!

  1. How funny! Can you drive with alcohol open in your car in Alabama?

    1. No open containers, but I'm sure that doesn't stop some people!
